Mini: Hello from Racket

Hey, we’re trying out a new thing. You can ignore these if you want, it’s purely supplemental. If you’re looking to get more Sorry to get back on topic, or hopefully you’re interested in sending audio messages to the show, this is FOR YOU!

This is us on Racket: http://racket.com/sorrytopic

Call for submissions!

Want to be on the show? Don’t really care, but you have a microphone on your phone? Send us an audio clip!

For a special December episode, we want to know: why do you listen to podcasts?

Of course we love your podcast recommendations, but what we’re interested in is a bit of introspection – what do you get out of podcasts and what do you look for in new ones?

  • Less than 3 minutes
  • *.WAV or *.AAC
  • *.mp3 is fine if you can’t choose a different format
  • Message us a link to download it – Twitter DM, Telegram, anyhow you want
  • If none of the above works, let us know
  • Before November 15

Just like discussing the music or books you like, this is another way to see how people think differently even when we all share what we think is still a bit of a niche.

Submissions close by November 15 so I have time to edit all this stuff.

Thanks!

Now on Stitcher!

Special update to people who use Stitcher for all their podcasts:

Sorry to get back on topic has been approved for Stitcher. We hope this makes listening easier for you to keep all your shows in one place.

One concern: Rob is very anti-advertising and we’ve seen that Stitcher is very ad heavy. As long as we can keep it under 5,000 listeners we won’t be required (by Stitcher) to include audio ads. In the app however, there are banner ads, which obviously no one likes.

In short, we hope this makes enjoying the podcast more convenient! We’ll monitor how many listens we get on that platform as a trial run and may not stick around unless people are definitely getting value out of Stitcher.

Let us know!
